Week 38

38 weeks and still going strong! Looks like the baby is dropping a little, but doesn't feel like it. When people get excited and start talking about having a Christmas baby, I cringe a  little. We I am not ready. I am waiting for the miserable feeling to hit me before I will be ready. Baby still seems so high, head is down and ready but once again, not uncomfortable.

I have no complaints, but will admit that some things are getting "old." I am tired of the constant heartburn, and even though I do sleep really well for a 9 month pregnant lady, it gets more and more uncomfortable each night. It is hard to move, and quickly is no longer in my vocabulary. We want to hold that sweet baby and show him/her all the preparation we have made. (As I type this TJ is nesting....almost finished painting all the trim in the house:)

Baby is the size of a pumpkin this week...or so they say. I went to the doctor Friday and measured 34 at 37 weeks and 4 days. I panicked for a hot second but the doctor reassured me everything was just fine and that he expects me to have about a 7 and 1/4 pound baby...which is good with me! To answer any other questions you may be having....I do not know if I am dilated or effaced or anything - they haven't checked yet, but I don't think anything is going on. No contractions, no pressure, no need to check yet. I am happy....I want a January baby, others who are excited to meet this little mystery baby are quite disappointed. Sorry!

Other than that, Baby pretty much is just hanging around waiting to be born....he/she is ready to go whenever God decides it is time for the big arrival!

Sorry for the lack of pictures, blog still won't let me upload any because of space. But, don't worry, we are still taking them.

Merry Christmas! Will check in next week after my appointment!!

Week 36

Welcome to the 9th month...wow, it seems like you will never reach this point, until you finally do!

There has been a delay on the blog...apparently I have reached the maximum data usage for pictures. I have tried a few different things to make more room on the blog, but nothing is working. I was discouraged and stopped posting, because really, a post with no picture is boring! But I figured I better document in writing until I can maybe add some pictures in here.

Up this week is a honeydew! My weekly appointments begin, we complete our prebirth class, and take a breastfeeding class. The carseat base will be installed in the car, and the hospital bag is well on its way to be packed and ready to go (with a sticky note listing all the last minute things to throw in).

We are nervous, but ready to meet this baby boy or girl.

Baby is basically pretty much chillin out. He/she is almost ready to go, but could benefit from a few more weeks to perfect the breathing.

Baby is just waiting on mom and dad to make final preparations. Will it be Baby's first Christmas this year??? Is the question we ask ourselves daily.

Baby is doing good and not having much changes, but me on the other hand....hummmm....the emotional roller coaster has finally set in. Emotions are crazy and I have found myself crying at the drop of a hat the last few days (embarrassing) but I knew this day would come. Yes, I am still working and that is pretty much all that is getting done during the week. TJ is helping a lot with Christmas shopping and we only have a few more things to purchase. All in all, I don't have anything to complain about....the baby hasn't dropped yet, so I am not uncomfortable and I am so tired from each day that I sleep fairly well.

4 weeks...or any day:)

Week 34

We have a butternut squash this week! The Baby could weigh about 5 pounds this week and will continue to gain about a half a pound each week from now until delivery.

Baby is listening to our conversations this week.... "They" suggest that I sing to the Baby because he/she may find that soothing after birth. Good thing I do sing to almost every song that comes on the radio (all of which may not be so soothing to Baby). Baby may also start dropping. I feel more waddling coming on. Other than that, Baby is working hard on gaining weight and developing that smart little brain:)
